Party wall surveyors for architects and engineers

Party wall input while the design is still flexible, and notices that go out with the right drawings first time.

In short

We work alongside architects and structural engineers to identify party wall requirements while the design can still change, then prepare and serve notices with the right drawings. Clients get a smoother process and fewer surprises once the neighbours' surveyors are involved.

How we help design teams

  • Early review of foundations, boundary walls and party wall alterations
  • Advice on details that reduce or remove notifiable work
  • Notice packs with the plans and sections Section 6 requires
  • Answering technical questions from neighbours' surveyors
  • Reviewing award conditions so they work with your design

Common questions

When should an architect involve a party wall surveyor?

As soon as foundation and boundary details are being drawn. It's far easier to adjust a detail than to work around a difficult award.

Can you work from planning drawings?

Yes, for an initial view. Notices for Section 6 need plans and sections showing the depth of the excavation, usually from the engineer.
